KK Intensive Quartet Program

September 7-19 (arrival 6th and departure 20th)

This unique program within Turkey caters to advanced string players and young professionals who are passionate about the interpretation and performance of chamber music. Participants will receive daily quartet coachings as well as daily live-streamed masterclasses with internationally renowned performers. Private lessons will also be offered with in-person faculty. The repertoire for this program will be Beethoven’s middle period string quartets, as well as selected quartet movements from Turkish composers. There will be a 3-day focus at the beginning of the session on baroque style and improvisation, and the final concert will be a joint faculty/student chamber orchestra without conductor. All performances will be professionally recorded and filmed.

We will live and breathe chamber music together for 14 days!
